I have been teaching Maths and Science at a small, rural school in south west Victoria since 2002. I am passionate about education for sustainability and believe that education for, in and about the environment can be integrated into many subjects within a school.

In July, 2007 I attended the 4th World Environmental Education Conference, selected by the Australian Education Union (Victorian Branch) to represent Victorian teachers and the union. It was an incredibly valuable experience – not just the conference itself, but meeting researchers and educators from around the world and learning about their perspectives of Education for Sustainability. I wrote this article for the magazine. Gillian Robertson (vice-president TAP sector) also wrote an article prior to the conference.

I have written another article for the Climate Change edition of Whole Woman newsletter : Education and Partnerships – Strategies to Combat Climate Change

I have also contributed to the Sustainable Living Challenge database of teaching resources, providing a learning activity called: Mass Fish Kills at the Surry River, Narrawong
